My Hedge

.....The Lord has hedged me in, like a four walled brick house, ....I find safety in heart finds rest...and my soul proclaims my favourite psalm and prayer;

Psalms: 91.

Because I dwell in the shelter of the Most High, I will rest in the shadow of the Almighty, I will say of the LORD, "You are my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."

Surely You will save me from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence.You will cover me with Your feathers, and under your wings I will find refuge; Your faithfulness will be my shield and rampart. I will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.

A thousand may fall at my side, ten thousand at my right hand, but it will not come near me. I will only observe with my eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.

For I have made the Most High my dwelling— even the LORD, who is my refuge-therefore no harm will befall me, no disaster will come near my tent. For God will command His angels concerning me, to guard me in all my ways; they will lift me up in their hands, so that I will not strike my foot against a stone. I will tread upon the lion and the cobra; I will trample the great lion and the serpent.

"Because I love the Lord," says the LORD,” He will rescue me; HE will protect me, for I acknowledge God’s name. I will call upon God, and HE will answer me; God will be with me in trouble, HE will deliver me and honour me. With long life will God satisfy me; and show me HIS salvation."

For I KNOW.....

I make reference to an earlier post titled ' Looking back over my shoulder' the close of last year. I expressed a rather tough journey I'd been through over the year that literally saw me crawl from mental fatigue.

What saw me through that difficult period was the unwavering faith that 'nothing lasts forever' and that 'it would soon be daylight' - a time when I'd laugh at my difficulties as waters gone by.

Today, i look back again (with gladness and laughter) and applaud the strength that was. The strength that brought me victory in many aspects, the strength that is grounded in these words from the Holy Book;

'And we (I) know that for those, who love God, all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.' - Romans 8:28

...and that, I KNOW FOR SURE.
