Muthoni is Home!!!!!

Psalms 98:4 : Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music

Psalms 95: 1: Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.

After 22 months in captivity in Somalia, my friend Muthoni is back home! There are no words to describe how this makes me feel. Words are so inadequate!! I jumped all over my house when I heard the good news on Thursday last week!!! Read her story here Captives Set Free!!

I want to shout this LOUD, GOD YOU ARE GLORIOUS!!!

We prayed, people, we really prayed...each day of the 22 months...we prayed, we pleaded, we cried, we held hands, we sat in silence, some day in fear....some days we were angry...and cursed them damn pirates (forgive us Lord), but one thing we did not lose was HOPE. GOD kept our HOPE alive. He daily let us know that IT WAS WELL with her...HE was incharge and we trusted HIM. HE, to whom all power belongs, we TRUSTED and HE did not disappoint. HE DELIVERED HER HOME UNHARMED. I mean, the girl is fine by all measures! Her mind is alert, she is on both heels and her smile and faith in GOD - priceless?!!! GOD YOU ARE GLORIOUS!!!!

Today I put off the candle I lite on my blog with a strong blow!! and instead celebrate GOD...because...yes again, GOD YOU ARE GLORIOUS!!!! Good people - TRUST FIRMLY IN GOD, HE IS A SURE REFUGE!

THANK YOU so so much dear God. To Muthoni - we love you so much, so so much, so so so much! Welcome Back!!!!!!!!!! we pray for speedy healing and restoration.

This is what I sing, GOD to you.....! YOU ARE GLORIOUS!!!! and I sing very loudly in spite of my vocals ;-)

Sign of Your Goodness.

Came to God, seeking His assurance that he has me in mind as I go through some rough life terrain and the word He put in my heart below put me to rest.

 Thank You Lord.
Psalm 86

A prayer of David.

Hear me, Lord, and answer me,
    for I am poor and needy.
Guard my life, for I am faithful to you;
    save your servant who trusts in you.
You are my God; have mercy on me, Lord,
    for I call to you all day long.
Bring joy to your servant, Lord,
    for I put my trust in you.

You, Lord, are forgiving and good,
    abounding in love to all who call to you.
Hear my prayer, Lord;
    listen to my cry for mercy.
When I am in distress, I call to you,
    because you answer me.

Among the gods there is none like you, Lord;
    no deeds can compare with yours.
All the nations you have made
    will come and worship before you, Lord;
    they will bring glory to your name.
10 For you are great and do marvelous deeds;
    you alone are God.

11 Teach me your way, Lord,
    that I may rely on your faithfulness;
give me an undivided heart,
    that I may fear your name.
12 I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart;
    I will glorify your name forever.
13 For great is your love toward me;
    you have delivered me from the depths,
    from the realm of the dead.

14 Arrogant foes are attacking me, O God;
    ruthless people are trying to kill me—
    they have no regard for you.
15 But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God,
    slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.
16 Turn to me and have mercy on me;
    show your strength in behalf of your servant;
save me, because I serve you
    just as my mother did.
17 Give me a sign of your goodness,
    that my enemies may see it and be put to shame,
    for you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.

Word for 2014

 This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says:
“In repentance and rest is your salvation,
    in quietness and trust is your strength,
Isaiah 30:15

And David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters; but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’s son, “I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod.” And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David.And David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I pursue after this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for thou shalt surely overtake them and without fail recover all.” 1 Samuel 30 : 6-8

Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!”
Luke 1:45
