Here is your Word for today.

Today, I share a devotion from Alive to God  http://alivetogod.com/

Please subscribe to get a daily devotion to your email. Personally, the devotions have been very encouraging and timely, and pray they will be the same for you as you purpose to fill your life with God's word.

Here is your word for today:

Verse:   Isaiah 40:29

'He gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power.'

- Sometimes we can feel weak, tired, faint and even powerless.
- The Lord knows that this can be a reality and He wants to step in and change things.
- If you feel like this, you can know that the Lord wants to change things for you.
- Let Him come and increase your power and give you the strength you need.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive all the power and the strength that You have for me. I can walk in boldness and strength because You enable me to do so. Amen.

Have an awesome Thursday

But "I know Whom I have believed"

Its been a long time since I was here last....

Would like to share words of a song I love so...because I have believed and continue to believe in God and it is my prayer that no matter what may be happening in your life right now, that you trust that God is able to keep that which you have committed into His hands and bring it round.

I Know Whom I Have Believed | Daniel W. Whittle

  1. I know not why God’s wondrous grace
To me He hath made known,
Nor why, unworthy, Christ in love
    Redeemed me for His own.

    Refrain:
    • But “I know Whom I have believed,
And am persuaded that He is able
To keep that which I’ve committed
      Unto Him against that day.”
  2. I know not how this saving faith
    To me He did impart,
Nor how believing in His Word
    Wrought peace within my heart.

  3. I know not how the Spirit moves,
    Convincing men of sin,
    Revealing Jesus through the Word,
    Creating faith in Him.

  4. I know not what of good or ill
     May be reserved for me,
Of weary ways or golden days,
    Before His face I see.

  5. I know not when my Lord may come,
    At night or noonday fair,
Nor if I walk the vale with Him,
Or meet Him in the air.

2015 - The Year of The Lord

The Sovereign Lord has filled me with his Spirit. He has chosen me and sent me to bring good news to the poor, to heal the broken-hearted, to announce release to captives and freedom to those in prison.

He has sent me to proclaim that the time has come when the Lord will save his people and defeat their enemies. He has sent me to comfort all who mourn,

To give to those who mourn in Zion Joy and gladness instead of grief, a song of praise instead of sorrow. They will be like trees That the Lord himself has planted. They will all do what is right, and God will be praised for what he has done.

They will rebuild cities that have long been in ruins.

My people, foreigners will serve you. They will take care of your flocks and farm your land and tend your vineyards.

And you will be known as the priests of the Lord, The servants of our God. You will enjoy the wealth of the nations and be proud that it is yours

Your shame and disgrace are ended. You will live in your own land, and your wealth will be doubled; Your joy will last forever.

The Lord says, "I love justice and I hate oppression and crime. I will faithfully reward my people and make an eternal covenant with them.

They will be famous among the nations; Everyone who sees them will know that they are a people whom I have blessed."

Jerusalem rejoices because of what the Lord has done. She is like a bride dressed for her wedding. God has clothed her with salvation and victory.

As surely as seeds sprout and grow, The Sovereign Lord will save his people, and all the nations will praise him.

Muthoni is Home!!!!!

Psalms 98:4 : Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music

Psalms 95: 1: Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.

After 22 months in captivity in Somalia, my friend Muthoni is back home! There are no words to describe how this makes me feel. Words are so inadequate!! I jumped all over my house when I heard the good news on Thursday last week!!! Read her story here Captives Set Free!!

I want to shout this LOUD, GOD YOU ARE GLORIOUS!!!

We prayed, people, we really prayed...each day of the 22 months...we prayed, we pleaded, we cried, we held hands, we sat in silence, some day in fear....some days we were angry...and cursed them damn pirates (forgive us Lord), but one thing we did not lose was HOPE. GOD kept our HOPE alive. He daily let us know that IT WAS WELL with her...HE was incharge and we trusted HIM. HE, to whom all power belongs, we TRUSTED and HE did not disappoint. HE DELIVERED HER HOME UNHARMED. I mean, the girl is fine by all measures! Her mind is alert, she is on both heels and her smile and faith in GOD - priceless?!!! GOD YOU ARE GLORIOUS!!!!

Today I put off the candle I lite on my blog with a strong blow!! and instead celebrate GOD...because...yes again, GOD YOU ARE GLORIOUS!!!! Good people - TRUST FIRMLY IN GOD, HE IS A SURE REFUGE!

THANK YOU so so much dear God. To Muthoni - we love you so much, so so much, so so so much! Welcome Back!!!!!!!!!! we pray for speedy healing and restoration.
